The collective
Protective parents united so that children’s voices are heard.
The Collective of Protective Parents of Belgium brings together parents, professionals (psychologists, lawyers), associations and engaged citizens for better protection of children facing intrafamilial and sexual violence.
Born from the experience of families confronted with incest and institutional failings, the Collective works so that children’s voices are heard, protective parents are no longer isolated, and the decisions taken genuinely serve the best interests of the child.
Because protecting a child should never drive a family into isolation, precarity or powerlessness, we pool our experiences, skills and resources to support families, raise awareness in society and promote lasting change.
Our values
- The child’s protection above all Every decision and every action is guided by the best interests of the child.
- Listening without judgement No one has to prove their suffering to be welcomed and heard.
- Dignity and discretion Every path is unique and deserves respect, confidentiality and care.
- Rigour Our positions rest on scientific knowledge, legal texts and realities on the ground.
- Solidarity Together we are stronger to protect children and support those who defend them.
Our objectives
- 1 Have children’s voices heard and recognised.
- 2 Break the isolation of victims and protective parents.
- 3 Inform and support families confronted with intrafamilial violence.
- 4 Raise awareness of the realities of incest among the public, the media and decision-makers.
- 5 Contribute to improving the laws, practices and policies of child protection.
What we do

Who carries the collective
